Housekeeper

The Maison Helya housekeeper supervises the maintenance and management of a property according to the owners’ instructions. She provides day-to-day support for the household staff, as well as external service providers and suppliers. The housekeeper is a person of reference and trust who manages day-to-day affairs and ensures that the owners are comfortable at all times.

Fields of excellence of a housekeeper

Overseeing the upkeep of the property

  • Being responsible for the complete upkeep of the property and ensuring that it runs smoothly
  • Ensuring that all household chores are carried out by on-site staff
  • Supervise the complete upkeep of household and family linen and storage in the dressing rooms
  • Clean and protect noble materials, decorative items, precious objects, furniture and equipment, etc.
  • Prepare and unpack luggage and put away travel items
  • Embellishing the home according to the owners' tastes: floral decoration, plant care, etc.

Managing administrative tasks and coordinating the various parties involved

  • Drawing up schedules for household staff
  • Participate in the recruitment and management of employees
  • Carry out certain administrative tasks
  • Manage the property's supplies and stocks and comply with the operating budget
  • Managing and coordinating external suppliers and service providers
  • Monitor any work that needs to be carried out

Kitchen and table service

  • Preparing and serving meals
  • Cook according to the owners' eating habits and requests
  • Organise events and welcome guests
  • Manage the cellar

Profile of a housekeeper

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar position required
  • Trained as a Housekeeper / DAT (Hotel and catering)
  • Good command of IT tools
  • Fluency in French, English appreciated (optional)
  • Excellent presentation, sense of service, organisation and responsibility, autonomy and initiative, adaptability, versatility, availability, reliability, initiative, discretion, thoroughness and confidentiality
