The Maison Helya private chef prepares all of the owners’ meals. This professional masters savoury and sweet culinary techniques and adapts to the needs and tastes of individuals and their families, offering contemporary recipes as well as the great classics of French gastronomy.

Fields of excellence of a private chef

Prepare and organise meals

  • Drawing up daily menus based on the customer's eating habits and preferences
  • Preparing all meals: breakfasts, lunches, snacks and dinners
  • Ensuring that dishes are renewed, taking into account what's in season, specific diets and the desired dietary balance
  • Cook the dishes
  • Applying current hygiene and safety regulations

Manage stocks

  • Manage the purchase and supply of foodstuffs, fresh produce and quality products
  • Ensuring that stocks are properly maintained and that the storage area / pantry is well organised
  • Respecting budgets

Ensure service

  • Lay the table according to the dishes prepared
  • Provide table service: plate service, French service, English service, etc.

Maintain equipment and premises

  • Clean equipment, kitchen and crockery
  • Ensure that household appliances and electrical appliances are maintained and working properly

Private chef profile

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar position required
  • BETC / Catering Diploma / NVQ Cuisine
  • Knowledge of sommellerie recommended
  • Fluency in French, English appreciated (optional)
  • Excellent presentation, listening and service skills, creativity, adaptability and speed of execution, rigour, meticulousness, organisation, responsiveness, discretion, very good oral expression
